Empowering young learners to succeed!
Personalised 1:1 and small group sessions for primary-aged students in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where young learners can thrive.
Hi, I'm Joe
A current Deputy Headteacher, and founder of Joe's Study Space, with a passion for making learning fun and meaningful. At Joe's Study Space, I connect education to your child's unique interests, creating an engaging environment where learning becomes a joy, not a chore.

I am passionate about giving all children the opportunity to fulfill their learning potential. I created Joe's Study Space to provide personalised support that helps each child thrive. Whether it's building confidence, filling learning gaps, or preparing for the 11+, I’m here to help.
I offer small group evening sessions for primary students (secondary subjects can be arranged on request). Every session is designed to be interactive, supportive, and tailored to your child's needs.
Through a collaborative group approach, children can overcome many of the barriers faced in one to one tuition, sharing ideas and approaches with peers to develop their own learning. Thank you for visiting my website, and I look forward to supporting your child on their learning journey!

High quality tutoring in 3 easy steps

Home Visit
Book through the website and I will be in touch to organise a day where I can come to visit you and your child. I complete some light assessments and we discuss goals for the future.

Targeted Tutoring
Join one of my small groups consisting of a maximum of five children. I deliver expert, personalised small group sessions tailored to the students' individual needs.

Progress Monitoring
I regularly assess your child's progress, maintaining communication through weekly parent emails and adjust the plan to ensure ongoing improvement is acheived.

LOOKING FOR 11+ SUPPORT FOR YOUR CHILD?
I can help with that too!
Tutoring for local grammar schools my sessions focus on key entrance exam areas: verbal and non-verbal reasoning, maths, grammar, spelling, and reading comprehension.
Using high-quality resources, I conduct termly mocks to track progress, filling learning gaps and using the papers to plan future lessons accordingly. The aim is to teach Year 6/7 objectives that will not be covered in school in time, ensuring that by the time of the entrance exam, your child will not be going in blind and will be fully prepared.
ALL IN A LOVELY, ENGAGING SETTING
All tutoring sessions take place in our dedicated educational space in Newcastle.
We've got everything here from books, resources, games and puzzles to engage children in their learning.
